Getting there.
Basel is located in the heart of Europe, on both sides of
the Rhine. The Congress Center Basel is in the city center
and easy to get to, while the old town, the shopping
districts and the city’s many museums and parks are
within walking distance – or just a few minutes by public
transport.
BY AIRPLANE
• EUROAIRPORT BASEL-MULHOUSE-FREIBURG
EuroAirport now serves over 75 destinations, with
directly scheduled services as well as holiday flights.
Downtown Basel (Swiss/French railway station) is
reached within 15 mins by bus no. 50, which runs four
times an hour.

• ZURICH AIRPORT
Zurich Airport is served by about 70 airlines, with flights
to 82 European and 39 intercontinental destinations.
There are frequent trains between Basel SBB station and
Zurich, and direct services to and from Zurich Airport.

BY TRAIN
Basel is an international rail hub: direct ICE, IC and EC
daytime and nighttime connections from and to
Germany, Austria, Italy, France and the Benelux countries.
All three of Basel’s railway stations – SBB (Switzerland),
SNCF (France) and DB (Badischer Bahnhof, Germany) –
are within 5-10 minutes from Congress Center Basel.
LOCAL MOBILITY TICKET
If you stay in a hotel in Basel, you will receive a free
Mobility Ticket, which gives you unlimited use of all
public transport in and around the city for the duration
of your stay. The region and city of Basel have a dense
public transport network, and the trams and buses
speedily bring you to any place you wish to reach.
Your hotel confirmation entitles you to a free transfer
from the EuroAirport or the train station to your hotel
by public transportation on the day of arrival.
BY CAR
Basel is the point where the Swiss, French and German
motorway networks meet. Follow “Messe” exit from the
A2 motorway to get directly to the fair and congress
grounds. Due to parking problems, it is not advisable to
travel by car.
PARKING SPACES
There is a multi-storey fee-required car park with space
for 1,600 vehicles at Exhibition Square. Some hotels also
present the opportunity to use their own parking facilities
at cost. There are also several fee-required car parks
within Basel, which should be used when travelling by
car. Long-term parking in the streets of Basel is not impossible.
