Looking back
Milestones in a successful company history:
1988 The EBERLE Medizintechnik GmbH is founded. The company manufactures dental implants developed by Dr Axel Kirsch, an internationally renowned dentist and oral surgeon practicing in Filderstadt/Germany.
1994 After years of successful cooperation, Dr Axel Kirsch takes over the EBERLE Medizintechnik GmbH. In 1995, the company is renamed ALTATEC Medizintechnik GmbH & Co. KG. This name is a made-up word composed of the Latin words “altus“ (high) and “tec“ (technology).
1999 At the end of the year, CAMLOG as a brand is launched. Ever since, all products manufactured by the ALTATEC GmbH have been marketed by the name of CAMLOG. In a first step, the CYLINDER-LINE and SCREW-CYLINDER-LINE implants are launched.
2000 CAMLOG’s third implant line, the ROOT-LINE, is introduced into the market-place; the CorticoFix Set, Sinus Set and Osteotomy Sets follow.
2002 In April, the SCREW-LINE is launched with implants of five different diameters and four lengths. As all other CAMLOG implants, the SCREW-LINE implants are equipped with the patented “tube-in-tube” implant-to-abutment connection plus special cams safeguarding instantly recognizable abutment positioning, highest application security, and reliable long-term results. Within a short time, the SCREW-LINE becomes the most successful CAMLOG product line.
2004 CAMLOG Biotechnologies AG, Basel/Switzerland, is set up. Under its lead, the internationalization of the CAMLOG Group is further reinforced. Clear structuring and allotment of tasks: ALTATEC GmbH, Wimsheim/Germany, as the central production unit of the whole group, CAMLOG Vertriebs GmbH, Wimsheim, as the supplier of CAMLOG products and comprehensive services to the German market.
2006 In order to be closer to Swiss market partners, to better meet their requirements by direct contacts, and to be able to provide an individualized, exclusive support, CAMLOG Switzerland AG is founded at the end of the year.
2007 Since the beginning of the year, sales of CAMLOG products and development of customized services for the entire Iberian peninsula have been conducted by a CAMLOG-owned subsidiary company in Madrid.
Good ideas gain acceptance On the sound foundation of the CAMLOG® Implant System’s above-average market success, the international CAMLOG Group faces its future optimistically. In Germany, after only a few years, CAMLOG comes 2nd in the industry in terms of turnover*.
