The course consists of 4 virtual classroom webinars and 4 days of on-site training at the University of Freiburg, Germany. Participate in evidence-based lectures and practical exercises presented by experienced speakers and instructors from the University of Freiburg, Germany.

4 Days – Wednesday to Saturday, March 23rd–26th, 2022

Day 1 – Wednesday, March 23rd, 8:30–17:00

Lecture:
- Digital workflow in implant dentistry – Overview
- Prosthodontic concepts – choice of materials
Interactive case discussion:
- Data acquisition – CBCT / Intra-Oral scanning
- Backward planning of simple and advanced cases


Day 2 – Thursday, March 24th, 9:00–17:00

Lecture:
- Virtual implant planning and guided surgery
- Data acquisition – Intra-Oral scanning in complex cases / Extra-Oral scanning
Interactive case discussion:
- Backward planning of complex cases
Hands-on:
- 3D Printers and milling units
- Implant planning software SMOP
- Intra-Oral Scanners
- Implant planning software Implant Studio


Day 3 – Friday, March 25th, 8:30–17:00

Lecture:
- Risk patients and basics in implant surgery
- Augmentation procedures
- Periimplant disease – prevention
Live surgery:
- Basic implant placement and guided surgery
Interactive case discussion:
- Sinus floor elevation


Day 4 – Saturday, March 26th, 9:00–14:00

Lecture:
- Advanced surgical techniques
- Bone grafting and bone splitting techniques
Hands-on:
- Bone block exercise
- Guided surgery on the model: incision, guided implant insertion, suturing


Tour through the university clinic and the operating room; discussion of surgical instruments (Nelson-set, sinus lift, block, piezo, osteotomes, bone-split and tunneling instruments)
