EAO 2023 – BioHorizons Camlog

You can find us at booth H09 on level 2

In addition to the presentation of the broad BioHorizons Camlog portfolio at booth H09, two workshops and an industry forum will be held around the construction of deficient alveolar bone.

CORPORATE FORUM

Friday, September 29th, 12:45 - 13:45 pm, Room Helsinki 1
Allografts – new perspectives in guided bone augmentation

Speaker: Prof. Daniel Rothamel, Germany and Dr. Robert Oretti, UK
Language: English

Various clinical indications alone or in combination with guided bone regeneration frequently require bone augmentation. Today, autologous bone grafts harvested from the doner site represent the gold standard for guided bone regeneration but are associated with several shortcomings related to the increase in patient`s morbidity and anatomical limitations of the donor site. Increasing evidence indicates that allografts may represent a safe alternative to autologous transplants in implant therapy. This forum will provide new data and therapeutic concepts on allografts pointing to the potential clinical relevance of these materials in implant dentistry.

HANDS-ON SESSIONS

Freitag, 29. September 9:00 - 11:30 Uhr, Raum M6 + M7
Allogene Knochenersatzmaterialien für die natürliche Knochenregeneration

Dozent: Prof. Daniel Rothamel
Sprache: Deutsch

Friday, September 29th, 14:00 - 16:30 pm, Room F
The Open Healing Concept – applications in modern implant dentistry

Speaker: Dr. Robert Oretti
Language: English

The open wound concept is well referenced in the literature and includes the application of a guided bone regenerative procedure at the same time as tooth removal and/or implant placement. With correct application, the assimilation of the bone graft is not impeded or compromised even though primary closure of the soft tissues is not achieved. Additionally, such procedures can be used for the partially and severely damaged socket at the same time as tooth removal. In this hands-on workshop participants will learn to choose differing implant treatment options with emphasis on evidence-based dentistry and the steps to obtain passive closure over the bone graft without disturbing the muco-gingival line.
