10 OCCLUSALLY SCREW-RETAINED PROSTHETICS ON CAMLOG ® AND CONELOG ® BAR ABUTMENTS SELECTION OF BAR ABUTMENTS The CAMLOG ® and CONELOG ® Bar abutments are selected according to the given clinical situation. The available gingival height from the implant shoulder can be measured with the aid of a gingiva height indicator. The measured gingival height is used to select the suitable bar abutment. The gingiva height indicators are color-coded corresponding to the implant diameters. The indicators are used with the correct implant diameters either intra- orally (aspiration-secured), or on the working model in the lab analog. Hereby, the apical support surface must lie precisely on the implant shoul- der. To avoid irritations, the gingival height of the bar abutment must not fall below the given gingival height.
