13 OCCLUSALLY SCREW-RETAINED PROSTHETICS ON CAMLOG ® AND CONELOG ® BAR ABUTMENTS ALIGNING TOOL FOR ANGLED BAR ABUTMENTS Using the aligning tools for angled bar abutments (17° and 30°), the axis and groove alignments of the CAMLOG ® and CONELOG ® Implants can be checked during implantation and before placing the angled bar abutments. To do this, the aligning tools are placed directly on the insertion post of the implant. The angled arm of the aligning tools point in the opposite direc- tion of the grooves in the implant and this is to be observed when select- ing the bar abutments (types A and B). See also «Angled bar abutments types A and B» on page 4. INSERTION OF ALIGNING TOOL Tighten the implant in the bone in its final position. Then hold the insertion post in position with a suitable instrument (e.g. forceps) and carefully with- draw the driver. Depending on requirements, an aligning tool with an angle of 17° or 30° can now be placed on the insertion post. TIP: If the driver sticks too much in the insertion post, both components can also be separated extraorally and an aligning tool can be joined to the insertion post by connecting. Pay attention to the delicate retaining springs of the driver (risk of deformation). The connected components are placed in the implant. The alignment or the insertion direction is represented visually and thus serves to select a suitably angled bar abutment. CORRECTION OF GROOVE ALIGNMENT If necessary, the user can slightly adjust the alignment of the grooves of the inner implant configuration. To do this, attach the holding key for insertion post to the aligning tool and carefully correct the alignment. Op- tionally, a short driver for implants can be attached to the aligning tool and alignment corrected accordingly in conjunction with a blocked torque wrench. Aligning tools for angled bar abutments, for implant insertion posts Aligning tool 17° and 30° Groove alignment versus the angled arm Aligning tool on insertion post WARNING: When aligning the implants, care must be taken not to drive the im- plants beyond the prepared implant bed (risk of fracturing the insertion post and possible deformation of the aligning tool). If necessary, the implant needs to be unscrewed slightly for alignment purposes. IMPRESSION TAKING OVER CAMLOG ® OR CONELOG ® BAR ABUTMENTS The components described in the following are compatible with all CAMLOG ® and CONELOG ® Bar abutments. The impression is taken directly on the screw-retained bar abutment in the implant. IMPRESSION CAP FOR BAR ABUTMENT, CLOSED TRAY, FOR IMPRESSION TAKING OF BRIDGE AND BAR RESTORATIONS The impression caps are available for implant diameters 3.3/3.8/4.3 mm and 5.0 mm in short and long versions. The impression caps are partially light blue anodized, made of titanium alloy (Ti6Al4V ELI) and supplied ster- ile. The caps do not have an antirotational mechanism and can only be used for the impression taking of bridge and bar constructions. Due to their greater height of 11 mm, the long impression caps are suitable for the safe impression taking of deeper set implants. IMPRESSION TAKING OPTIONS
