EAO 2023 in Berlin - BioHorizons Camlog presents two high-profile speakers and two pioneering workshops

BioHorizons Camlog will present its broad portfolio of dental implants, biomaterials and clinical workflows at stand H09. Additionally, there will be two workshops and an industry forum on the reconstruction of deficient alveolar bone. Two renowned speakers, Prof. Dr. Dr. Daniel Rothamel and Dr. Robert Oretti will give state-of-the-art insights into "Biological aspects of natural bone regeneration" and will present their treatment concepts using allogenic materials.

In the first workshop on Friday 29 September 2023, Prof. Daniel Rothamel will talk about techniques for building up bone defects with allogeneic bone replacement materials. First, he will delve into the biological basics and demonstrate surgical techniques for hard tissue augmentation. His successful treatment concept, underlined by remarkable patient cases, is based on the principles of natural bone regeneration. In the hands-on part, participants can practice bone augmentation to reconstruct the bone deficit with allogenic bone replacement material (MinerOss®A). The material is used in particulate form, as a block or shell.

In the afternoon, Dr Robert Oretti will give a lecture on the concept of open wound healing as well as demonstrate the procedure and its possibilities in implant therapy. In the practice-oriented workshop, participants will learn to assess the risk of the various treatment options from the perspective of evidence-based dentistry. An important criterion is to maintain the mucogingival junction with passive wound closure over the bone graft for natural aesthetics.

In the company forum, Prof. Daniel Rothamel and Dr. Robert Oretti will present new data and therapeutic concepts in the application with allogenic bone graft substitutes and discuss the potential clinical relevance of these materials in implant dentistry. Clinical results indicate that allogenic grafts could be a safe alternative to autologous grafts in implant therapy.

We look forward to welcoming you at our stand H09 on level 2, where we will be happy to answer your questions and present our broad product portfolio of different implant systems, biomaterials and digital clinical workflows.
