The BioStrip and BioPlug collagen wound dressings complement the bone substitute materials and membranes in the regeneration materials range. The wound dressings of bovine origin support the body’s own collagen synthesis and absorb blood and other fluids to protect treated regions. They provide for accelerated granulation and epithelization and for good regeneration of the surgical site. BioStrip is used to close transplanted areas and cover small wounds. The BioPlug collagen plug is used to seal extraction sockets and biopsy sites. The wound dressings are completely resorbed after 10 to 14 days.
