INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM 2022 | 13 - 15 OCTOBER 2022 | MUNICH, GERMANY

DREAMS AND REALITY - TREATMENT CONCEPTS AND TRENDS

The International Symposium 2022 is taking place from 13 - 15 October 2022 in Munich, Germany; having achieved much success in Orlando and scheduled stops in Munich and Rome. What sounds like the succession of global cities offering the center stage for big fashion events, is in fact yet another stop in the calendar of events of the Oral Reconstruction Foundation (OR Foundation). After the success of the Oral Reconstruction International Symposium in Orlando in May 2022 with 650 attendees, and with the Oral Reconstruction Global Symposium in Rome in March 2023 already in mind, the next stop for the who-is-who in dental implantology will be Munich this autumn.

Carefully concerted stage by eminent global experts
While innovation is driven by people who have a dream to improve, in the end who is better positioned to show what reality is, than a scientist presenting evidence-based data? The eminent scientific committee and internationally renowned speakers vouch for a differentiated and pioneering program, addressing dental professionals from all walks of implantology. The Symposium, in combination with the 7. Camlog Zahntechnik-Kongress (7th Camlog Dental Technician Congress) on Saturday, 15 October 2022, showcases success, which are important for the fruitful outcome of every intervention for the benefit of the patient.

The Co-chairpersons Prof. Frank Schwarz, Frankfurt, and Prof. Katja Nelson, Freiburg, were able to attract an illustrious group to manage the Scientific Committee: Dr. Mario Beretta, Italy; Dr. S. Marcus Beschnidt, Germany; MDT Vincent Fehmer, Switzerland; Prof. Gerald Krennmair, Austria; MDT Otto Prandtner, Munich; Prof. Mariano Sanz, Spain; Dr. Alex Schär, Switzerland; Prof. Michael Stimmelmayr, Germany.

Mouthwatering topics for all tastes
The Symposium starts off on Thursday, 13 October 2022, with 16 pre-congress workshops, catering topics for all tastes. The Friday, 14 October 2022, is dedicated to four scientific sessions, covering the topics (1) Timing in implant dentistry, (2) Treatment concepts for challenging situations, (3) Treatment concepts for elderly or edentulous patients, and (4) Advances of the digital Workflow in a team approach.

The programme on Saturday, 15 October 2022, begins with the young clinician’s research session (5) supported by OR Foundation. “This is a topic close to my heart and one of the pillars of the OR Foundation”, says Fernando Guerra, moderator of the session and member of the OR Foundation Research Committee, and in his function Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra, Portugal. “While I personally find it very rewarding to give young researchers a chance to progress in their career and give them center stage at a big event such as the Oral Reconstruction International Symposium, it is vital for the progress of science, and to ensure the continuity of such high caliber events in the future. This is where young professionals get a chance to network on an international level and gain first-hand experience as speakers.”

The scientific programme concludes midday on Saturday, 15 October 2022, with three more sessions, (6) State-of-the-art tissue regeneration, (7) Mastering hard and soft tissue outcome, and (8) Solutions for Demanding Situations.

A top-choice event with all mod cons
The Symposium venue is the INFINITY Hotel & Conference Resort Munich, the largest hotel and conference centre in Southern Germany, a top choice for conventions and events. Located just outside Munich, it offers fast connections to the city center and airport.

Building on the success of the past years, there will be a forum for dental technology on the Saturday for German-speaking professionals from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In series of lectures, speakers will venture an outlook into the future, touching on topics such as digitalisation, teamwork, aesthetics and modern treatment concepts. The hosts of the congress, Dr. Martin Gollner and MDT Otto Prandtner, will also present a panel discussion, featuring the speakers about "cooperation at eye level". Participants are encouraged to discuss with all experts during the program and in the separate speaker´s lounge – a networking opportunity not to be missed. Information and Registration on: 7. About the Oral Reconstruction Foundation

From the outset in 2006, the OR Foundation has supported basic and applied research projects, granted research funding to young scientists, and promoted training and continuous education. It has established a networking platform for international experts in a wide range of disciplines to foster the permanent exchange of knowledge and ideas. The Foundation firmly believes that the best way to consolidate the scientific basis of oral reconstruction and serve patients’ needs is to promote close international collaboration between universities, practitioners, technicians, and industry. Activities organized or planned under the patronage of the OR Foundation respect these principles in the same way they support the Foundation’s objective: teaming up science and education to serve the patient.
